For the first time -- well, sort of -- EA SPORTS' FIFA 20 Team of the Year will be determined, let's say, more directly by a fan vote.
While creators (and cough operations like this one) have turned over their votes the past two years to the FIFA community, you're now able to vote directly on EA's site as a larger component (though still unclear how large) percentage of the total Team of the Year vote.
Fifa 20 Toty Schedule
Beginning Thursday 12 December at 4 p.m. UK and running until 7:59 a.m. UK on Saturday, 21 December, you can vote on a 55-player shortlist that'll help determine who will make up the highest rated (and most exclusive) side of FIFA 20. If you vote, you'll receive a TOTY Tuxedo kit when the promo officially starts in January.
While it's not immediately clear when the official launch date and time for FIFA 20's Team of the Year will be, the legal terms and conditions for the communtiy vote specifies the TOTY Tuxedo Kit voting incentive will be made available 'on or about January 6, 2020'. It remains possible the reward will preceed the actual items being made available in packs.
